DEVELOPMENT ASSISTANT
for
DATA MANAGEMENT and
DONOR ACKNOWLEDGMENT


The position is responsible for:
x maintaining accurate donor records that can be segmented upon request,
x sending out acknowledgments and tax notes in a timely fashion to donors,
x certifying the Center's mailing lists for bulk mail purposes,
x preparing regular updates for donor recognition purposes,
x preparing lists for donor and development committee meetings,
x entering in past history for individuals, corporations, and foundations,
x generating accurate financial reports for department, Trustees, and
administration,
x providing staff support for development activities.

Qualifications for the position include:

x A Bachelor's degree and two years experience in data management, or
equivalent,
x must be computer literate,
x ability to draft written correspondence,
x ability to create graphs or charts for reports,
x must have above average verbal communication skills and attention to
details,
x ability to be a team player and interact with the public,
x knowledge of FundMaster, Microsoft Word, Windows 95, Excel, and Accumail,
is very helpful.

The position is full-time and reports to the Director of Development.  Annual
salary range is available upon request.  All benefits due to a full-time
Center employee are available and they include paid health care, vacation,
sick time, job related training seminars, and parking/mileage.
