If you're looking for low-cost, reasonable giveaways,
I've found success with http://www.baudville.com They
have some very tasteful, often inexpensive,
recognition items. We used the pins, pens, and pads
that said that the person was an "Essential Piece".

If you're looking at just finding "fun" and really
cheap giveaways, you may want to look at
http://www.orientaltrading.com At a recent offsite,
we asked a series of questions to reinforce the
learning. When the person answered the question
correctly, we responded "Pay that (wo)man $100!" And
then we gave them $100. But the $100 was a miniature
replica contained in a cute little key chain, and we
got about a dozen for $3.95 and then the incremental
cost of shipping. We also gave all our participants
stress balls with squishy faces that went over very
well, too.
