Let's not forget that Marge Simpson is an artist
herself--one whose talent was curbed by early
motherhood. Several episodes make reference to her as
an artist, including the Homer as outsider artist
episode in which she feels Homer has usurped her
identity because SHE is supposed to be the artist in
the family.

In fact, I don't think any other series has more
references to museums in general--from Lisa's running
away to the live in the natural history museum to her
frightening bus journey through the seedy side of town
while desperately trying to get to the soon-to-move-on
traveling Egypt exhibit.
