Noelle,

Afraid I can't help you on the formula: even if such a formula exists,
there are many important variables to be considered...

However, free standing humidity control units are available that have been
designed for the accurate and reliable maintenance of the rH in museum
display cabinets and storage areas. They will both humidify and dehumidify
as needed, and need very low maintenance.
