Registration packages are now available for the 22nd Annual
Conference and Workshop of the International Institute for Conservation of
Historic and Artistic Works - Canadian Group (IIC-CG) to be held in
Montreal, Quebec, Canada,  from May 21-26, 1996.

<< Those Pests in Collections: Control of Insects and Fungi in Cultural
Institutions >> is the title of the 1996 Workshop . The workshop will consist
of hands-on sessions, demonstrations and lectures.

Practical sessions:
     -Identification clinics for insects and fungi found on collections.
     -Demonstration of the use of some of the most recent
      trapping, monitoring and control methods, (pheromones,
      modified atmospheres and thermal control methods).

     on the latest developments in the field, on case

IIC-CG ANNUAL CONFERENCE
24-26 MAY 1996
MONTREAL, QC   CANADA

Papers on various aspects of theory, practice and administration of
conservation and conservation science will be presented. A poster
session and a trade fair will also be included in the program.
Simultaneous translation will be provided in English and French.
Special events will include a tour of conservation laboratories of
Montreal main museums,  various receptions and a banquet in the glass
court of the new building of the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts.
