POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
 
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Turtle Bay Park & Museum
Redding, California
October 6, 1994
 
Turtle Bay Park & Museum, a 501(c)(3) EOE organization, is seeking an
Executive Director.  The $32MM Project, currently in the Design Development
phase, is scheduled for opening in April of 1997.  The museum will be located
on a 60 acre parcel nestled in a bend of the Sacramento River in Redding,
California.  The museum will be a unique state-of-the-art complex which
integrates history, natural science, forestry and art through the merging
of three existing museums.
 
The successful candidate will be a leader with the ability to direct and
motivate a quality staff.  The successful candidate will have a minimum
of seven (7) years experience in organizational museum administration
which includes fund raising, marketing, financial and administrative experience
..
 
A degree in Museum Management is desired but not mandatory.  A Masters
degree in public or business administration, or related field, is
preferred.
 
Salary and benefits will be competitive and commensurate with the
applicant's experience.
