The University of Richmond Museums announces the following search has been
extended:

Collections Manager

Seeking an energetic, detail-oriented person to be part of the University
Museums, including the Lora Robins Gallery of Design from Nature (an arts
and natural sciences museum), the Marsh Art Gallery (an art museum), and
the Harnett Print Study Center. The person must have museum experience as a
registrar and collections manager. Reports to the Executive Director and
will oversee the collections, installations, and exhibitions of the
museums. Primary duties will be collections care and management, inventory
and cataloguing including collections database. The manager will supervise
two museum preparators, free-lance consultants as needed, and student
workers.

Located in a park-like 350-acre campus in the suburbs of Richmond,
Virginia, the University of Richmond is a predominantly undergraduate,
highly selective, private institution with over 3500 students in schools of
law, business, leadership, and the liberal arts. The University is
financially secure with a current endowment of over one billion dollars.
Richmond is the state capitol, located 90 miles south of Washington, DC,
and the metropolitan area has close to a million residents.

The University Museums provide a rich cultural enhancement and important
academic resource for the university community and the general public of
the region. The Lora Robins Gallery is located in a separate wing of the
Boatwright Memorial Library, and the Marsh Art Gallery and Harnett Print
Study Center are located in the George M. Modlin Center for the Arts, a
$23-million building completed in 1996.
