Vice President of Marketing-  The Mariners' Museum in Newport News, VA
seeks a dynamic, experienced senior-level professional to develop and
implement strategic marketing and communication plans for the Museum.
Reporting directly to the President and CEO, this challenging and rewarding
position requires strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work
effectively under pressure with a high degree of innovation and flexibility.
 Responsibilities include branding and market research, advertising and
promotions, group sales, events and rentals, attendance, public relations,
media relations and product development. In addition, the vice president
will work closely with the development department to implement a plan for
market driven sponsorships. Requirements: bachelor's degree in marketing or
communications and eight to ten years of related experience with a proven
record of effectiveness.  Preferences:  We are seeking an individual with
superior oral and written communication skills and a record of successful
marketing, public relations, and media relations campaigns. The Mariners'
