The Natural History Museum in London has had hands-on carts starting
some years ago; in fact, it may have been one of the first.Check with
Jain Mainwaring there for current practice.  So did the Canadian Museum
of Nature in Ottawa. Check with Chris Morrisey there for what there now
doing.

I would also be interested to know in any evaluation done on the
effectiveness of carts. I did a very primitive study about five years
ago using a cart/interpreter with a exhibition at the ROM and felt they
were extremely powerful programming tools indeed.
