The Western Museums Association looks forward to an annual conference
that is enriched by our renewed sense of community and purpose in
light of the recent tragic events. We have had inquiries asking us
to address the changes that have come about in our profession because
of tightened security, needs in community, etc.

The conference will offer an opportunity to talk, formally and
informally, about how the terrorist acts will effect us as people,
as part of our respective communities, and as museum professionals.
The WMA conference will also provide a wonderful opportunity to
be with our colleaugues, friends, and extended museum family to enjoy
the kinship that is precious among us.
The conference takes place in Palm Springs, CA October 10-14.
