My Museum does not have an established space for school groups to eat their
lunch during their visit. It does, however, get many requests for such a
space from school groups, especially during bad weather.

Has anyone successfully dealt with the issue of providing space for school
groups to eat their lunches in the Museum?

When the groups are here on a nice day, they eat outside or in the park
across the street.

When the weather is bad, we try to find a space for them, sometimes in our
multipurpose rooms (but those rooms are often in use).

We're thinking of adopting a policy of "No outside food or drink," but
don't want to appear to be nasty. We do have a food vendor (Subway) in the
Museum.

If you've dealt with this issue, I'd appreciate hearing from you... even if
it didn't work as well you hoped.
