While this is theoretically true about NYU the head of the department is an
anthropologist with her own students in Latin American/Caribbean Studies at NYU
and they seemed to benefit the most from the program. On the other hand, half
the
students and most of the instructors are art museum related. I wouldn't
recommend
NYU. Even though the resources available are unsurpassed, they aren't used well
and I've met few satisfied graduates.
