Exhibitions Coordinator: The Salina (KS) Art Center is searching for a
Coordinator of Exhibitions. This is a 1-year appointment with possibility
for extension.

SAC is a regional, non-collecting, AAM-accredited contemporary art center
in the center of Kansas. It is recognized for bringing art, artists, and
audiences together.

Major responsibilities include: plan, design and oversee the installation
of exhibitions; coordinate registration of objects; coordinate the
long-range schedule of exhibitions in consultation with committee and
staff; coordinate traveling exhibitions for state-wide program; maintain
current exhibitions; and consider education as part of exhibition
development and presentation in collaboration with education team.

Qualified applicants should have a master's in art history or museum
studies or an MFA; bachelor's considered with experience. Prefer experience
with installation and maintenance of high-profile exhibitions; ability to
work with guest curators and artists; and a self-starter. Typical schedule
is Monday- Friday but includes some weekends and evenings. Position is open
July 1. Starting salary is $28,000.
