For reasons I will not go into, I am conducting an informal survey as to the
top 10 U.S. art museums based on the following criteria: permanent
collections, exhibitions, educational programming, facilities.

For example:

1.  Art Institute of Chicago
2.  Metropolitian
3.  National Gallery
4.  Museum of Modern Art
5.  Getty
6.  Philadelphia Museum of Art
7.  Guggenheim
8.  Museum of Fine Arts, Houston
9.  Museum of Fine Arts, Boston
10. Cleveland Museum of Art

And second question - If you could work for any Art Museum in the Country -
