I'm not sure the exhibit is still up, but the Nat'l Museum of American
History exhibit "The Information Age" (I believe this is the correct title)
looked at the development of communication up through the computer.  As you
entered the exhibit you were given a brochure encoded with a unique id (via
barcode).  Before trying each interactive, you scanned in your brochure, then
at the end of your visit, you could receive a report on what you had done.  I
ended up visiting this exhibit twice because the lines for some of the
interactives were so long the first time.
