We are actually working on this right now. The company for museums to
contact is the aforementioned Swank Motion Pictures. Though they do not
handle all of the different production companies out there, but they do
have a very wide variety. They will help you with all of the questions
about cost and weather or not you can "fundraise" with admissions. Some
production companies allow this while others, like Disney, do not allow
it. You may only recover your movie rental cost. Basically you rent
your movie from the company and they handle all of the copyright issues
as an agent for the production company. They then rent the film to you
at a specific cost, from our talks with Swank we have discovered that a
wide variety of the films can be rented for around $250.
Hope this helps,

We are looking at starting a movie night. Can some of you that have
done
these in the past tell me some of the pitfalls you have had in
developing a
night like this? I am also wondering about copyright issues, by showing
a
movie to the public for a price. Is that a huge problem and if so how
do you
make it ok.

If you want tell me about some of your success to.
