CURATORIAL ASSISTANCE TRAVELING EXHIBITIONS
Pasadena, California

Position/Job Status: EXHIBITIONS COORDINATOR, Full-time
Reports to: Director
Hours: Monday ­ Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm
Salary range: mid $20,000's/DOE to start, + benefits.
Starting Date: April/May

QUALIFICATIONS: Requires a B.A. in Art History or related field. 1 year
museum or gallery experience. Superior organizational skills with attention
to detail and ability to prioritize. Excellent written and verbal
communication skills. Ability to work independently and to exercise
initiative and good judgment. Self motivated, team player. Ability to
establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff and museum
colleagues. Solid administrative and office skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES: The Exhibitions Coordinator manages logistical and
administrative details of traveling exhibitions. Duties include
correspondence with venues; drafting venue booking agreements; processing
loan forms; condition reports; maintaining a detailed calendar of exhibition
bookings; overseeing production of exhibit elements such as framing,
crating, graphics; making shipping arrangements; preparation and
distribution of marketing, educational and press materials.

Curatorial Assistance Traveling Exhibitions (CATE) is a non-profit
organization facilitating the creation and circulation of diverse and
innovative exhibitions for museums and art organizations worldwide. The
organization fosters collaborations between public and private resources by
developing traveling exhibitions that expand public opportunities to view
and experience significant works of art and that emphasize public awareness
