The North Carolina Transportation Museum is searching for a
person to work in our rolling stock collection restoration and
maintenance program.  The successful candidate will have
skills in machine shop practices plus general welding
experience.

Three years experience in a transportation or railroad
museum is required.  Ability to handle the special challenges
of working with enthusiastic railroad restoration volunteers
will indicate the successful candidate.

This is a full time benefited North Carolina State position.
The North Carolina Transportation Museum is part of the
Historic Sites Section of the Division of Archives and History
in the Department of Cultural Resources. Salary Grade is 62.
 Salary Range is $20,539 - $32,936.  The salary for the
Biennium (July, 1997 - June, 1999) is $20,539 plus full
benefits package.
