Caroline Gentry, WV Filmmaker

There is a mystery about an early WV filmmaker. Her name is Caroline Gentry, born in 1870 in Charleston, West Virginia, USA, and died in Charleston 1939. Joe Jefferds – 304-343-8437 – [log in to unmask] -is  interested in finding out any facts about this amazing lady. He has done a full report for the West Virginia Humanities Council in relation to the painting hanging   in their home, the Hubbard House, attributed to  her – but no one, not even John Cuthbert at West Virginia University Archives, has found another painted by her or attributed to her. I was contacted by Mr. Jefferds and other researchers, finding one film that she is credited with.   The one film listed by the Internet Movie Database is – “The Key to Power” (1920) (working title – The Romance of Coal.”) She is listed as one of three screen writers for the film. If anyone knows
