Hello--
  I second the opinion of Deborah Barlow Smedstad on spending Christmas in
Rome, which I have had the opportunity to do.  Great festivities and
weather, at least for this California kid.  Confession: I often save
these postings (even more from the caah-listserve) of foreign residence
opportunities in the faint, fond hope that someday I will be able to
take advantage of one of them.
