TECHNICAL ANALYST
(HELP DESK TECHNICIAN)

The Metropolitan Museum of Art, one of the world's finest museums, seeks a Technical Analyst for the Information Systems & Technology Department.  The Technical Analyst provides computer support services to Museum staff as needed for problems involving operating systems, software applications, user errors, and user questions. The Technical Analyst will provide telephone, e-mail, walk-in, and on-site technical support as needed for service calls assigned through the Help Desk according to the Departmental procedures. Qualification requirements are 2+ years experience supporting computers and networks are required.  Must be familiar with the installation and support of the following: Microsoft Windows NT/2000/XP (Workstation and/or Server), Microsoft Windows 95/98, Ethernet Networking solutions, MS-Office 97/2000/XP (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access), Virus Protection software, and Macintosh operating systems.  B.S. degree is required.  MOUS/MCSE or equivalent is beneficial and other software skills a plus.
