I might suggest that you try the Smithsonain 24-hour automated job
hotline. You can reach it by dialing 202/287-3102. (To use this service
you must have a touch tone phone.) When you call this service will allow
you to discover what position openings are currently available. If you
find one to be to your liking, you can leave your name and address on
the machine. Afterwards, the Office of Human Resources will send you a
copy of the job posting by mail.
