You might check with the Museum of the American Quilter (I think that's the
name) in Paducah, Kentucky.  Operated by the AQS - American Quilters Society.
I have never been there, but I have seen photos of their exhibit halls and
that seems to be what they are doing.  So call them - beats reinventing the
wheel.
