George Washington University's MA in Museum Studies has an academic core of
American Studies, Anthro, and/or other disciplines. It's a 42 credit program
in which you focus in collections mgmt, exhibit design/development, or
administration. The Museum Education MA is a separate program. Last time I
checked - (and I graduated from the MA program in 1999) they did not have an
undergraduate degree in Museum Studies. The location is great because you
have access to museums and professionals in DC, MD, and VA (and not just the
Smithsonian....) Well worth your looking into it.
Good luck.

The George Washington University, located at 21st and I street, NW in
Washington DC has both a graduate and undergraduate program in Museum
Studies
as well as an Anthropology program that focuses on Museum Studies. Their
URL
is http://www.gwu.edu/ Both programs are listed under the College of Arts
