Senior Science Exhibit Developer
The Health Museum of Cleveland
Cleveland, Ohio


Basic Function: The Senior Science Exhibit Developer is responsible for
creating and overseeing the content of permanent exhibits, temporary
exhibits, and multi-media programs in coordination with the Museum's key
staff and the Education Committee of the Board of Trustees. Functions as
the project director for the National Science Foundation (Body Stop)
exhibit development and evaluation program.

Qualifications: Five years of science exhibit development in an interactive
museum/educational environment. Advanced degree in science/health/biology
or similar experience or training is preferred.

Essential Functions:
1. Oversees the accuracy and consistency of the exhibits.
2. Researches, writes, and contributes to concept development for new
permanent and temporary exhibits.
3. Researches and makes arrangements for incoming temporary exhibits.
4. Provides input for grant writing and participates in development as needed.
5. Recruits data collectors and oversees evaluation for Body Stops.
6. Oversees education program development as it relates to new permanent
and temporary exhibits.
7. Responsible for other duties as may be assigned by the Director of
Exhibits.

Collateral Functions:
1. Disseminates the findings from the Body Stops project at conferences and
in professional publications.
2. Attends professional conferences and workshops and keeps abreast of the
latest advances in audience research and informal science education.

Environment: Multi-level work area, travel to off-site locations will be
necessary, frequent visits to workshop environment.
