When working with business's the real key is what you to help them
achieve their goals.  If they see what you are doing as helping them
to increase sales (or whatever), they will support you--and the more
concretely you can articulate the benefits to them, the more they
will support you.

Local businesses may well be excited about more upscale visitors to
the downtown area. Bigger companies are increasingly attracted to
"lifestyle" attribute that can help attract desirable employees.
They may eventually become excited about contemporary art.
