ONLINE TO THE FUTURE CONFERENCE goal is helping to increase access to
cultural information for *all* New Mexicans via cooperation and
collaboration.

Who/What/Where

* The Online To The Future conference will bring educators, arts
administrators, cultural heritage professionals, technology providers,
funders, information specialists, students, teachers, and others together
for two days of demonstrations, discussions, and discovery.
Many of the conference attendees will be people who work in related areas,
but who all too often do not communicate with one another. The conference
will establish a common ground on which meaningful communication can occur
and future collaborations can be planned. Electronic delivery of
information, particularly use of the Internet, will be central to these
proceedings.

* The Online to The Future conference will take place at Santa Fe Community
College, May 15-16, 1997.

* The Online to The Future conference is being convened by the
Arts-In-Education and Rural Arts Initiative Programs of New Mexico Arts, a
division of the Office of Cultural Affairs. It is being hosted and
co-facilitated by Santa Fe Community College and The Foundation of the
Santa Fe Community College. The New Mexico State Department of Education is
a planning partner.
