There is still time to register for conference, Building Bridges:
Community, Collaboration, Celebration, which is scheduled for September 26-
29, 2006 in the Quad Cities, Illinois and Iowa. This conference presents a
unique confluence of resources, hosted by three museum associations (The
Association of Midwest Museums, the Illinois Association of Museums, and
the Iowa Museum Association). The annual AMM conference is one of the most
affordable conferences available!

The conference will kickoff with a gala reception at the fabulous, new
Figge Art Museum and will feature outstanding sessions, dynamic speakers,
and FREE evening events at local museums and cultural institutions. John
Hope Franklin, a noted historian and author of the landmark book, From
Slavery to Freedom, will serve as the keynote speaker.

A preliminary program and registration form are available on the AMM web
site at <www.midwestmuseums.org>. You may also contact AMM at 314-746-4557
for more information.
