The State Historical Society of North Dakota is offering two summer
internships:

        -  museum technician
        -  historic preservation intern

The State Historical Society of North Dakota, based in Bismarck, strives to
identify, preserve, interpret, and promote the heritage of North Dakota and
its people.  The State Historical Society of North Dakota is the state's
premier public history institution.  The agency maintains a collection
consisting of nearly one million two and three-dimensional objects, serving
more than 250,000 people from around the world.  The Society operates the
North Dakota Heritage Center, which is the state's largest and only
AAM-accredited museum, as well as 56 historic sites, and a regional museum.

All internship applicants should demonstrate the following:  general
knowledge of the humanities and/or public history, organizational skills,
strong communication skills, the ability to work independently, the ability
to manage multiple priorities, and the ability to work with a variety of
people.
