DIRECTOR
Prairie Avenue House Museums (PAHM), a newly-formed nor-for-
profit organization, seeks a Director to administer two
accredited house museums (Clarke House, 1836/Glessner House,
1886) and the surrounding Prairie Avenue Historic District
on Chicago's near south side.
 
The director will lead the organization to self-sufficiency
with the support of the Chicago Architecture Foundation
(which currently operates the museums) and the City of
Chicago.
 
The director must have general management skills and experience
with an emphasis on strategic planning, marketing and development,
the ability to communicate effectively to a diverse constituency
and an entrpreneurial drive.  The successful candidate will
supervise the current staff of five.
 
Candidates should submit a letter of interest, resume, and
salary expectations before DECEMBER 15, 1994 to: Search
