The Florida Museum of Natural History (University of Florida, Gainesville)
is pleased to announce its first "on-line" virtual museum exhibit:

                        "Fossil Horses in Cyberspace"
               http://www.flmnh.ufl.edu/natsci/vertpaleo/fhc/fhc.htm

The first phase of FHC exhibit design includes components on fossil horse
phylogeny and interrelationships, morphology and adaptations, nomenclature,
and the time context of North American extinct species of the Family
Equidae.

An on-line Visitor's Guest Book and Survey Questionnaire allowed
input about the audience profile and desired content (front-end
evaluation). This allowed us to develop a first phase of the project,
focusing on the site's content.
This first phase will culminate with an FHC exhibit "opening," to be held on
1 November 1997. The second phase of exhibit design, to be developed during
late 1997 and throughout 1998, will include user-interactive components and
possible a Kids' Corner and teacher resource center.

FHC is funded by the State of Florida and National Science Foundation. We
are very excited about FHC and would be pleased to receive any comments and
feedback that you have on this exhibit.

Thanks in advance for your time!
