Tracy,

Last year our small town was visited by the Artrain.  It was a huge success.
I volunteered one morning and got hooked!  Although this is a "museum" in a
train, thus limited to venues on train tracks, it seems to me many of their
considerations/constraints would be parallel to yours.  This group has been
"on the move" since 1971 so I suspect they have a wealth of experience they
can share with you.  I know they are "at home" these days changing exhibits.
