Greetings everyone,

If you have books/papers that need to be scanned and kept, you can do so in
Adobe Capture. This 'captures' the entire page. It has in it an OCR program.
But it will also keep any hand written notes or pictures/drawings. It will
make the information exactly as it is on the original.

OCR is great for text only. One can reformat and place any pictures back into
the piece by hand. It is not a big problem. Also OCR can be trained to read
the fonts you need. This takes a little extra time, but well worth it.

Doing everything by .jpeg means it cannot be searched.

I would be willing to help set things up for anyone that is interested.
Please contact me off list. I do have a museum background.

Check out the FAQ on my website. I am just starting to do Capture, so the
website is not quite up-to-date.

Don't retype it, OCR it!
