Well, in my situation, I wrote the grant, but the executive director read it
and was the one signing the letter. So in reality, I wasn't funding my own
position, she was requesting funding for the position. I think most
foundations would be reluctant to fund a request that came from an
individual, even under the name of the organization, and was a request to
pay that same individuals salary.
