The announcement for this immersion course on diversifying funding was
interesting (and of course Victoria is one of my favorite places to
visit, whether for a course or a vacation!)

Here's my question.
"This intensive course... improves your ability to
*       balance mandate, mission and funding"


I'm used to balancing mission and funding.  I'd be interested in the
distinction between mandate and mission, and what might be a reasonable
balance between those two (or is it a balance between mandate and
mission and funding?
