ISIS (http://www.isis.co.uk) - aspects ARTS - "wireless security and
audit in a second" The aspects ARTS system from ISIS is a combination
of advanced, wireless radio frequency tags with easy-to-use security
and audit software. ISIS has been pioneering tracking systems for
high value assets for over 5 years in the office market, mainly
laptops, servers and projectors. ISIS completed development of its
Aspects ARTS system in 2000 and now has installations protecting some
of the most well known paintings in the world.
The wireless tags are either credit-card size for placing behind
paintings or domino-size for protecting ceramics and other artworks.
Vibration sensors in the tags can detect the slightest movement of
the artwork and then an alarm signal is sent to the aspects ARTS
software. The vibration sensitivity can be individually adjusted in
software. Because the tags send an update message every 30 seconds
even when they are not in alarm, the system is constantly auditing
the collection 24/7, 365 days a year.
