We have a system called Counterpoint. It works with Quickbooks and is  
a touchscreen computer which is nice since some of our volunteers are  
older and rarely use computers.  It uses barcodes and a handheld  
scanner.  We have been using this system for about 2 yrs and our books  
are much more accurate now.
