Hello List,
We're in the design development phase of an expansion to our existing
museum, and a question has come up about the use of closed-circuit TV for
security. Since this group is so knowledgable, I'd love to get your opinions
on this subject. Our questions are:

Which areas of the building have cameras? (My feeling is that all galleries,
public areas and collections storage areas should have CCTV, as well as the
loading dock.)

Who monitors the system? Is someone always in front of the monitors?

Do you record the feed? Digital or analog? How are the recordings archived,
and for how long?
