Good afternoon Colleen. In regards to your question re: the
Ottawa area.... There are three large post-secondary
institutions in the immediate area: The University of Ottawa,
Carleton University and Algonquin College.

Algonquin College (www.algonquinc.ca) offers a three-year
diploma program in Museum Technology.

The University of Ottawa (www.uottawa.ca) offers certificates
in Arts Administration in connection with their Fine Arts and
Visual Arts degrees.

As for Carleton University (www.carleton.ca), when I was
doing the Museum Tech. program at Algonquin, there were
rumours that Carleton would establish a Masters program in
Museum Studies, but I don't know if anything ever came of it.

Hope this information is helpful.
