Sounds like a great session idea--I look forward to attending that one!

Not that far ahead . . . only 5 months for SPC sponsorship and 8 without.

Just to clarify, the TEENMUSE listserv people are also hoping to have a
session at AAM 2002 on teenagers in museums--we haven't decided exactly how
to focus it yet. We might try for COMPT, DivCo, CARE, or EdCom
sponsorship, depending on how we do this. So, if you have experience
planning sessions and would like to work with us, or experiences/programs
you'd like to share with the world, please come join us--mail me at

If you want to join and I haven't already added you, besides sending the
other information I've asked for, please write the following two things in
the body of your e-mail:

1) first and last name you would like us to know you by (some people appear
to be using e-mail addresses that are in other people's names)

2) your full e-mail address--not an alias! (my mail program tends to
conceal addresses)

Thanks,
Kathy

Melissa,

You might check the RCAAM-L archives since I'm pretty sure various
bar-coding efforts have been discussed there. I am also sending a copy of
your post to the RC listserv so that responses can be posted on both lists.

Not censorship especially, but at UIOWA it is unfortunately not uncommon to
find that someone (presumably students, but who knows?) has torn out an
article from a volume of bound journals rather than going to the trouble of
copying it.

Subject: Global Museum - Museum Products and Services listing now online

Our recent online survey for the webzine confirmed that you stayed away from
the Trade and Exchange section in droves! We listened and it is no longer
there.

On a more positive note, you indicated a wish for a listing or museum
products and services and our first ten companies and consultants are now
online for your viewing. Just visit the webzine http://www.globalmuseum.org
and click on the appropriate PRODUCTS AND SERVICES button. All further
contributions to this section are welcomed.

With best wishes to all
