I don't know if anyone has mentioned the situation at
the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History, where the
Chumash are buried in a crypt at the museum
respecting the descendents' wishes, complying with
NAGPRA, and keeping the possibility of future study
open.  This seems to be one of the few situations where
everyone was happy.
