I'm not a conservator, but it has been my understanding that as a
general guideline, "poly" plastics are safe.  This includes both
polyethylene and polypropylene, as well as polystyrene and polyester.

Hello, does anyone know if polyethylene and polypropylene sleeves/bags
have the same archival qualities? I have used the former before and am
confident they are harmless, but not polypro bags. Thanks, Keith
