Assistant Director
University Museum, University of Colorado at Boulder

The University of Colorado Museum, a major, AAM accredited university
museum of natural history and anthropology seeks an Assistant Director.
The Assistant Director reports to the Museum Director.

Specific Duties:
   *Develop and implement strategies to increase Museum visitation by
the University population and the general public.
   *Implement and manage an effective team approach among Museum
faculty and staff to develop exhibitions and programs.
   *Write grants and solicit contributions to support public
programs.
   *Supervise public section staff including coordinators of Public
Programs, Exhibits, Pre-K-12 Education and Visitor Services/Security.
   *Develop budgets in consultation with public section staff.
Oversee and be responsible for public section budgets.
   *Assist Director in developing and implementing Museum-wide
programs.

Qualifications:
Masters degree required in Museum Studies or related field.
Minimum three years museum experience required.
Two years management experience at a departmental level.
Two years successful grant writing and fundraising experience.

Salary:
$45,000

Job Classification:
Position is professional exempt, 12 month, full-time.
