I am working on a proposal for the 1997 Southeast
Museum Conference Annual Meeting and would
like some suggestions. I am interested in putting
together a session to examine historic houses in the
Southeast Region (USA) who are under stressful
situations due to high volume visitation. This high
volume can come from thousands of visitors per year
or simply from having a site with small rooms and two
bus loads of visitors at one time. I am looking for
successful educational programs (school and adult)
that work within these visitation constraints. Please
e-mail me directly if you know of any sites that fit this
description (and contact names if possible). Thanks in
advance.
