I personally have never seen mac/cheese for less than 4/$1 however, you can
find ramen 10/$1.  They are great if you break them up while dry and then
sautee them in the flavor packet with 2 tbsp of butter.  Put on stir fry or
whatever you want. (This is also the basis for oriental cole slaw which I think
is the same thing that John is talking about.)
