Position announcement: Publications Department Head (Managing Editor)

The Virginia Museum of Natural History is seeking a Managing Editor to
direct, supervise, and implement the creation, production, and distribution
of promotional, educational, and scientific publications for the museum.
Qualified candidates will possess editorial experience and knowledge of
publishing and printing methods and procedures; the ability to supervise
writers, editors, and graphic designers; the ability to analyze, reorganize,
and proofread manuscripts, including technical terminology common to the
disciplines of the museum; and excellent writing and communication skills.

Prefer degree in English or Journalism, experience in museums or other
cultural organizations, and extensive experience in publishing and marketing
publications. Salary range is $29,297 - $44,732. Applicants should submit
