Dear colleagues,

I like to introduce you to a newly published book:

"The Backstory of Wallpaper: Paper-Hangings 1650-1750" by Robert M. Kelly

It's a thoroughly researched, scientific, thrilling and sometimes
amusing look at the early days of wallpaper. While most other
publications focus on design, this one is different. It takes a look at
the backstory. Who were the people that made, sold and installed
wallpaper? Was wallpaper a luxury product or a cheap replacement for
other types of hangings? Who bought it and how was it made? How did it
come over the sea to the American Colonies?

The author is a well-known expert on wallpaper, especially ancient
wallpaper in historic houses and that's what makes this book a true
page-turner. It's not someone who writes a book about wallpaper from his
ivory tower, it's someone who really knows what he's writing about. This
book contains the essence of 30 years of experience and research on this
topic, a compilation of all resources, or better: all rare pieces of
evidence he found in archives and museums in America and Europe on this
early period. A comprehensive bibliography and a glossary complete the
book.

*The book is available in every bookstore:*

For I did a little bit of editing and proofreading for the book, you can
also read a backstory of the backstory on Registrar Trek:

Have a good start in this working week!
