We will be undertaking a search for a new director soon, and I have been
asked to contact other museums regarding methods they have used to locate
their past or present directors (with commentary/critique, if possible!).

We are considering working with a consultant of some sort who can help us
get a good idea of what we are looking for and establish our procedure,
which will probably involve a combination of staff, board, and community
representatives.  I'm afraid I can't be much more specific since we really
haven't gotten far in our thinking.
