Agreeing with the following, to a degree.....

But I think the obvious was overlooked--the importance mentioned in the
above paragraph, is not a kudo to TV, but instead to the GLOBALE
TELECOMMUNICATION SATELLITE industry, which many claim is just an
offshoot of the semiconductor industry. In either case, the "shrinking
of the world", to within a single uplink/downlink to see, hear, write,
email, fax etc around the globe of ours - that appears to me to be the
most important single event-ion of the Century - if not of all history.
Affects all political motives, wars, human relief, even all inventions
to follow.

Hey, nearly all Museums around the globe have a web site today! Couldn't
have happened without the satellite.
