To me, the big question is "What would you put in a members-only section
that makes it desirable?"

Personally, the biggest benefit our members (primarily older people)
receive is the knowledge they are helping the Museum. There are some
tangible benefits -- advance invitations to events, newsletters, 10%
discount in the gift shop -- but those are not the primary reason our
members belong.

We're a small history museum, and I'm hard put to come up with an idea
for something to put in a "members-only" section. To the original
poster... Do you or your board have some ideas for content? If so, I'd
be very interested in hearing them.
